Totem knits together a heritage building, a TTC subway entrance, a linear park and change in urban scale, all on a small site. Through a slight shift in retained heritage elements on-site, Heritage is literally brought into the public realm, and a larger public walkway is created as a ‘linear park’. The shift is continued in the massing through the use of cantilevered, shifting volumes.
