Motto is an 11-storey mixed-use building that brings thoughtful density and imaginative design to Toronto’s Bloorcourt Village neighborhood. Situated right at the corner of Bloor and Dovercourt, the building provides a continuous canopy of street front retail and maintains a 3-storey podium before setting back for an additional 8-storeys. Artwork positioned along Bloor Street brings vibrancy and engagement to the retail streetscape, while two tone brick used at the podium levels above act as a nod to the existing buildings that run along Bloor Street. Above that precast concrete produces a dynamic façade that tapers in and out. Together these elements contribute to an overall design that is artistic, geometric, and textured – in keeping with the neighbourhood.
