Aurora Cultural Centre
As part of the development of Aurora’s Cultural Precinct, the Aurora Cultural Centre, housed in the Church Street School – which previously occupied Aurora’s future Town Square site received a 32,500 square foot addition. Both the Square and the Centre form part of the Town’s cultural hub, providing new civic gathering spaces for concerts, markets, performing, dramatic and visual arts, as well as museum and archival functions. A new pedestrian bridge now spans across the Square, linking the Cultural Centre to the existing Aurora Library, which has been renovated in conjunction with this development. The overall development meets the highest standards of sustainable design.
